Kittens

The short story:
Someone dumped four male kittens at Food Maxx, looking somewhere around 8 weeks. We managed to save two in August. The first one, a gray striped tabby, suffered burns on whiskers and starvation. The second one, a tuxedo, suffered from an abscessed wound and starvation. All were under 2 months old. We named the gray tabby Tiny and the tuxedo Houdini.

The third was from Yuba City Mall’s parking lot. We were just cruising through at night to eat out when we nearly ran over this tiny, tiny black kitten. It barely had strength to move. We looked at it and figured we’d give it a nice bed for the night. We really didn’t expect it to survive the night, but it did so we took it to the vet the next day. He was treated for respiratory infection and starvation. We called him Lucky for a while, but now we’re calling him Old Man Sammy because he has started growing white hair in his dark coat and Sammy sounded like it fit him. It gives him a stippled look.

So far, they are doing very well. They’ve been examined by a vet, treated for their infections, received their first vaccinations and de-worming. Tiny is ready to be adopted out. He and Houdini are currently about 3 months going on 4 months, with Old Man Sammy at about 1 month younger.

From above. The three boys are real close. They play, eat, sleep together. Though Old Man Sammy wasn’t with Tiny and Houdini originally, the two older boys took him right in.

If interested in adopting, drop me a line. Tiny is especially ready. He’s friendly, affectionate, playful and loves pettings.
