“A deaf person just called my number on the relay and I figured you could take it.”
Me: “I’m deaf too! I can’t use your phone. Find out what he/she wants.”
“Oh okay.”
A few minutes later….
“I’m sorry, the call is from a deaf person who is looking for information about rent costs in the area….I feel only slightly stupid that I thought there was some way for you to convert a phone call into text, etc… It certainly proves that having the ability to hear does not necessarily mean you have the ability to think!”

“I gave the person a phone number to the local relators … just because I can hear doesn’t mean I know everything like rent costs.”
