Not Cosmetic Surgery – Serious Head Help!

The other day I was at work taking my lunch break. I was bored so I decided to try one of those girl magazines that was laying on the tables. Big mistake. There was an article on cosmetic surgery. A doctor was telling about the strange requests he receives for cosmetic surgery work.  Here are examples:

  • Toe shortening
  • Belly button removal
  • Va-ja-jay work to remove the labia or slim them down, along with the clitoris

The doctor remarked that they were not healthy cosmetic work but a sign of serious mental problem with self-image in which the patient should be consulted on seeing a psychiatrist.

The belly button removal? Refused.

What is it with people nowadays that they feel they must have cosmetic surgery to “fix” an imperfection? I’m sick of those deluded images that’s achievable only by photoshopping. Sorry, unless you have a serious defect, cosmetic surgery to make your toes “shorter and cuter” is not the answer for what ails you.

On a sidenote, a few days later, I caught our Entertainment Editor reading those magazines by the buttload.
