Wow, it’s been quite some time since the last update. I’ve been super busy with school and work. I’m already well into the 2nd year of my BFA Web Development program, and I’ve been employed at my job for almost 7 years now.
I still draw but it has been mostly digital. Right now, I’m working with Vector digital art and Flash. Flash used to scare the hell out of me because it was like producing a massive movie. I think I am getting more comfortable with it now, although I can’t say that I can write code right off the top of my head. I still have to look up stuff about what code should be used. I’m moving out of my comfortable zone of working with XHTML/CSS 1-3 to Flash. Fortunately I have a cat that sits with me and reassures me that I am “doing just fine.”
I haven’t had much time to read books other than reference books and whatever I read online. My husband has taken to calling me Screen Girl because I’m always looking at some kind of screen — my iPod, my Mac, my Macbook, the TV and my Crackberry. It’s kind of bad because I’m not getting much physical activity except when I’m chasing my five cats. I’m looking forward to finishing school and getting some of that time back. I knew that when I started school full time and working full time, I’d have less time to go out between the workplace where I spend 8 hours a day, 5 days a week and home where I work some more and sleep!
So…that’s me in a nutshell for now. There’s more but I’m not up to putting it all online.
